Wall cladding inside the house can be done using decorative tiles made of gypsum (alabaster). And you can make them yourself.
It will cost much cheaper than buying similar tiles in the store. By the way, you can make 12 tiles in just 15-20 minutes.
The first step is to prepare a gypsum solution. To do this, first pour water into the prepared container, and then add alabaster.
Ready gypsum mortar should have a consistency of thick sour cream. Remember that alabaster sets quickly enough, so after preparing the solution, you must immediately begin to work.
Production of decorative tiles
We glue the surface of the table with cling film, then lay out the ready-made gypsum solution on it.
It must be leveled with a spatula or trowel so that a layer with a thickness of about 10-12 mm is obtained.
At the next stage, we make some design drawing on the surface of the solution - an invoice. Here you are free to experiment as you like, the main thing is that the resulting result suits you.
Then, using a metal ruler or another tool, make even edges, after which we divide the solution layer into rectangular tiles.
Let them harden completely and the tiles are ready. If necessary, they can be painted with acrylic paint in any color.
