Very often in the process of construction or repair in the house and in the country, many have to work alone. And in order to move heavy and oversized loads, there is no way to do without a trolley.
In this review, the author decided to share the idea of how to make a universal cart from a profile pipe for transportation of various cargoes with your own hands. Such a home-made design is not much inferior to factory models, but it will be cheaper.
And although the author made a trolley for a specific purpose - for transporting plastic windows, it can be adapted without problems for other "freight" at home. The main thing is that the cost of this idea is quite acceptable.
The main stages of work
For the manufacture of carts, profile pipes of different sizes will be required. First of all, the author cuts the blanks of the required length on a band saw.
Then, in two short workpieces, you need to drill holes, and weld to them the elongated nuts into which the wing bolts are screwed.
The resulting parts are worn on sections of the profile with a smaller cross section. Then it will be necessary to weld a rectangular frame. For welding a profile, it is better, of course, to use a semiautomatic device, but you can do with electrodes if you have experience in welding.
Next, you need to weld two L-shaped parts from the profile sections, and then weld them to a rectangular frame.
At the next stage, side stops from the profile are welded to the movable "carriages" on the frame racks. Then a piece of sheet metal (a platform for cargo) is welded to the bottom of the trolley, and the wheels are installed.
