To make a home-made mount with a manual clamp for a small angle grinder, you need three identical pieces of a strip of metal with a width of 20 mm, a pair of hexagon head bolts and, in fact, the manual clamp itself (it is also called a "dog").
The device itself is very simple, so everyone can repeat such a “trick”. In fact, you only need to weld the fastener for the U-shaped grinder itself and fasten the manual clamp. Such work will take no more than half an hour.
From the main tool you will need an electric drill or drill, grinders and a welding machine. Having prepared all the necessary materials and tools, you can begin to manufacture this homemade product.
How to mount with a manual clip
First of all, we cut three identical pieces from a strip of metal 20 mm wide, in two of which it is necessary to drill through holes for fixing bolts. The length of the workpieces is determined based on the size of the grinder.
From three sections of the strip we weld a U-shaped mount. A bolt will need to be welded to the upper jumper. After that, we fasten the improvised fastening to the casing of the angle grinder.
At the next stage of work, we drill a through hole in the upper clamp handle. Then we put it on the bolt and clamp it with a nut. And tighten the whole thing with a lock nut. As a result, we got a mount with a lock for an angle grinder.
