Unlike traditional heavy "shoes", wheel chocks for wheels of a car are more practical to use, as they take up less space in the trunk and are lightweight.

Materials and stages of work
First you need to prepare the basic elements of the wheel chock. For this homemade product you will need two steel equal-angle corners of different sizes (large and small - which ones, at your discretion), four metal plates, a handle from a round bar and two furniture hinges.
Two steel plates must be connected to each other using a loop, welding its "wings" at the edges - similarly, you need to do with the other two plates. At the next stage of work, two “paired” plates must be welded to the metal corners to obtain a square structure.
Then you need to weld a loop handle to one of the corners and the device is ready for use. However, it will not be superfluous to also grind the weld seams with a grinder and paint the wheel chock to protect it from rust, as it will be used mainly on the street.
