On the Internet you can find many different ways how you can cut a glass bottle (from beer, mineral water, soda), but not all allow you to get a perfectly even cut.
In this review, the author offers, perhaps, one of the easiest ways to cut a bottle of glass at home. Well, really nowhere is easier.
To make a bottle cutting device, you will need a small piece of chipboard, OSB or plywood, 2 wooden blocks of various lengths, an ordinary glass cutter and a few wood screws.
Step-by-step assembly process
Actually, making a cutting platform for bottles is very simple. First you need to find in the workshop (garage) or cut to size a piece of chipboard or plywood, which will act as the base.
Then you need two wooden bars (one long, the other short). In a long bar, approximately in the center, you need to make a cut, and fix the glass cutters with two self-tapping screws.
At the last stage, it remains only to screw to the base (particleboard or plywood) a second block (perpendicular to the long one), which will act as a stop for the bottle.
Next, press the bottle, and twist it around its axis. And then, when they made a cut, the bottle must be dipped first in hot water, and then in cold. The glass will crack clearly along the cut line.
